Meetings are held three times a year at easily accessible locations, when there are illustrated talks by well-known and learned speakers. The Society also attends a number of third party events and exhibitions as speakers and/or exhibitors.

  • Gresley 150th anniversay symposium and dinner

    We are delighted to invite you to a special symposium and gala dinner to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Sir Nigel Gresley’s birth, honouring his remarkable life, achievements, and enduring legacy. This milestone event promises to be a memorable occasion for the Gresley Society and its members.

  • AGM 2025

    The Danum Gallery, Library and Art Museum Waterdale, Doncaster, DN1 3BZ

    The Annual General Meeting will commence at 13:30hrs and afterwards there will be a talk entitled ‘The Journey Matters’ – Dundee to King’s Cross, via Edinburgh on ‘The Coronation’ – by renowned author and broadcaster Jonathan Glancey illustrated with a presentation by Ian MacCabe.

    The Society with have a presence at a number of events over the coming months. The next event will be the Shildon Rail 200 Event Model Railway Exhibition at Locomotion on 4th/5th October 2025.
